If you are including melting or solidification in your VOF calculation, note the following:

  • It is possible to model melting or solidification in a single phase or in multiple phases.
  • For phases that are not melting or solidifying, you must set the latent heat, liquidus temperature, and solidus temperature to zero.

In this tutorial you will learn to simulate Melting case using Ansys Fluent. In the net tutorial we will publish Solidification tutorial.

The NACA four-digit wing sections define the profile by:
First digit describing maximum camber as percentage of the chord.
Second digit describing the distance of maximum camber from the airfoil leading edge in tenths of the chord.

We share the Solidification tutorial using ANSYS Fluent.
