ANSYS MESHING – Hexahedral Mesh

Developing a hexahedral mesh requires a lot of vision, it is necessary to have an idea of how to do it fast without complications, however not in all solids, it is possible to make a hexahedral mesh. Here is a small and simple example with which you can practice, hopefully, it will help.

  1. Hello CFDNinja, I tried the same approach to mesh a 3d circular pipe. But a pure hexahedral mesh is not being generated. Could you please advise?
    Thank you.

    • Hi my friend;
      Well, in a circular pipe is very difficult, I recommend to use Multizone option if you need hexahedral mesh purely, I think that you need yo use ICEM software.

      • Hello Mr Ninja, firstly thanks for your website it saved me! When using Multizone, one should check if all the body are “sweepable” right?
        How is it possible to achieve this? My geometry is a T shaped canalisation with outer and inner body (solid and fluid, I used the fill function).
