You can set the Use Automatic Inflation control so that Ansys automatically selects inflation boundaries based on whether or not they belong to Named Selections groups. Specifically, the following options are available:
Rules to Remember When Using Inflation
Additionally, keep the following information in mind when using inflation:

Ansys supports automatic inflation only for 3D inflation on volume models; it does not support 2D inflation on shell models. As a result, you cannot select Program Controlled or All Faces in Chosen Named Selection for the Use Automatic Inflation option to mesh a 2D model. Instead, to apply 2D inflation on a shell model, use local inflation mesh controls directly.

In the following scenarios, inflation automatically suppresses the refinement control:

When you use automatic inflation (either Program Controlled or All Faces in Chosen Named Selection) together with refinement in the same model

When you use local inflation together with refinement in the same body or part

In general, we don't recommend mixing local and automatic inflation within the same part. When you mix the two, Ansys applies the local inflation settings to whichever bodies you assigned them to. Meanwhile, it creates automatic inflation only on the remaining bodies — those without existing local inflation. In turn, automatic inflation ignores every body and attached face that already carries local inflation settings.

Ansys Meshing – Multizone + Inflation
The MultiZone mesh method provides automatic decomposition of geometry into mapped (sweepable) regions and free regions. When the MultiZone mesh method is selected, all regions are meshed with a pure hexahedral mesh if possible.
