When you export from the Meshing application to ANSYS ICEM CFD format, an ANSYS ICEM CFD project file with the extension .prj, along with a geometry file (*.tin) and/or mesh file (*.uns) are written.
The Extrude Mesh option allows you to create elements of one type from selected elements of a lower dimension along a defined direction. This option is generally used to create a volume mesh of non-varying cross-section from a 2D mesh profile.
The blocking feature in ANSYS ICEM CFD provides a projection-based mesh-generation environment. All block faces between different materials are projected to the closest CAD surfaces. Block faces within the same material can also be associated to specific CAD surfaces to enable the definition of internal walls
